At Ryan FC, we provide two different recreational sessions for girls aged 5-11yrs and 12-14yrs, who can experience football for the first time, develop the skills they have or play competitive football by joining one of our teams.

 

Wildcats session 5-11yrs (School years 1-6)

What happens in our session?

Sessions last for 1/1.5 hours and focus on developing your child’s fundamental movement skills – agility, balance coordination and speed – required not only for football but for all sports.

 

Girls will learn new football skills, make brilliant friendships and have fun together.

 

How will my daughter be looked after during the session?

All sessions are delivered by FA-qualified coaches trained in health & safety, safeguarding and more.

 

What should my daughter wear?

We recommend that girls wear comfortable sportswear and closed-toe shoes. If she’s a budding goalkeeper, we recommend packing her a pair of gloves.

 

Does my daughter need to bring anything?

Just water, lots of energy and a smile!

 

Can I come along to watch during the session?

Yes, absolutely. Parents, carers and siblings are encouraged to stay, watch and even get involved!

 

How much does a session cost?

Our sessions are affordable and accessible for all girls. There is a cost of £5 per session on a flexible pay-per-play basis. The first session is free.

 

Do you have teams and do competitive football?

For both sessions, we participate in a monthly round-robin tournament at Peter May Sports Ground on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month. This gives girls the opportunity to experience competitive football for the first time. Beyond this, we also have teams that play weekly in local leagues.

 

Can I get involved?

Definitely, we are always looking for enthusiastic parents, carers and others to get involved and support girls' football. This can be in coaching, supporting the running of the sessions or marketing. We have teamed up with the FA to provide training and workshops to support this.
